The Columbia County Traveling Library is seeking a dynamic, creative individual to serve as full time librarian/director. The library director will be responsible for the day-to-day management, supervision and administration of Columbia County Traveling Library, a bookmobile centered library, and its staff. About the LibraryThe Columbia County Traveling Library Authority, located just outside Bloomsburg along Route 42 in Montour Township, serves residents with its bookmobile and headquarters  library.
Over 40 locations throughout Columbia County are visited regularly by the
bookmobile, including communities, daycare and preschool providers, senior
citizens’ facilities, and schools. The county library at Perry Avenue is open to

Description:
The library and its bookmobile contain a wide range of current adult and
juvenile books, including best sellers, large print, fiction and nonfiction,
audio-books on tape and CD, videos and DVDs. Requests for service, books,
interlibrary loans and information are encouraged.
Mission Statement:
The Columbia County Traveling Library bookmobile, as an authority of Columbia
County, shall make a free library service conveniently accessible to Columbia
County residents, especially those living distant from any public library
facility, and / or located in the areas of the county “unclaimed” under
provisions of the PA Library Code. |
